Divorce/Dissolution of Marriage
Shorstein & Lasnetski understands that the dissolution of marriage creates great stress and uncertainty in the lives of our clients. Our job is to reduce that stress and uncertainty when it comes to your legal issues. We are dedicated to open, honest and complete communication with our clients. We strive to answer your questions before they are asked. We work to solve your problems before they become your problems. We seek to make this painful experience as painless as possible. With personal attention to every detail, Shorstein & Lasnetski will dedicate our extensive legal experience to your needs.
Shorstein & Lasnetski will lead you through the entire divorce process. The State of Florida is a no-fault state, which means that a marriage can be ended when it is irretrievably broken. It is not necessary to prove fault on the part of either spouse.
First, we will lead you through the mediation process, if required. Through mediation, you will attempt to resolve your issues with your spouse. If mediation is successful, you will be able to avoid costly and lengthy litigation where a judge, rather than you and your spouse decide on important legal issues. Mediation is not always successful, however. When further litigation is required, Shorstein & Lasnetski will be there to represent and counsel you on the most advantageous course of action. Whether a trial, or even an appeal, is necessary, we will zealously represent you and your interests from start to finish.
